The Discovery Engagement

TeleStory Media builds strategic branded films that close the gap between what you've built and what your market believes. This is the first phase of that work — now available on its own.

Know The Story You Own —
Before You Commit To The Film.

The Discovery Engagement is TeleStory Media's Narrative Excavation, led by founder Michael Mills — delivered as your Narrative Position Assessment: the story you own, where belief actually sits, how it enters the market. The film is a decision you make after, strategy already in hand.

Character + Want

You Believe The Gap Is Real. You Want Certainty Before You Commit.

You've seen it in your numbers — evaluations that should be decisive, a market that can't feel what you've built. Before a six-figure decision, you want the strategy itself, not a pitch. This engagement delivers that strategy as its own deliverable — before any film exists.

The Problem

The Standard Way In Is Backwards.

Procurement taught you to write a brief, request proposals, compare bids. But a brief only contains what you already believe about yourself — never the story that's been missing.

All three trace back to the same gap — between what you've built and what your market believes about it. That's the only problem TeleStory Media exists to solve.

You can't put discovery out to bid. You can only do it.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

The Discovery Engagement.

TeleStory Media runs the Narrative Excavation — its proprietary discovery process — inside your organization, led by founder Michael Mills. The same first phase every full engagement begins with, delivered as a standalone strategic engagement.

The Story You Own

The narrative position no competitor can credibly claim, surfaced from what's genuinely true inside your organization. Not written. Found.

Where Belief Actually Sits

Where your authority gap or belief gap lives — in which audiences, at which moments, costing you what.

How It Enters The Market

The strategic path from story to market position: what gets built, where it lives, how it compounds.

Together: your Narrative Position Assessment.

HOW IT WORKS

Three Steps. One Decision,

Yours

STEP 01

The Narrative Excavation, In Your Organization

Michael works inside your walls: the people, the decisions made under pressure, the mission as it's actually lived.

STEP 02

The Assessment Is Built

Findings become strategy: your narrative position, your gap map, your market entry path.

STEP 03

The Decision Is Yours

You hold the strategy either way. Commission the strategic branded film with TeleStory Media, take the assessment internal, or sit with it. No obligation survives delivery.

QUESTIONS

Before You Begin.

What is a Narrative Position Assessment?
The deliverable of the Discovery Engagement: the story your organization owns, where your authority gap or belief gap actually sits, and how belief enters your market. It stands alone as strategy — whether or not a strategic branded film follows.

What is the Discovery Engagement?
The first phase of every TeleStory Media engagement, available as its own engagement. TeleStory Media runs the Narrative Excavation inside your organization, led by founder Michael Mills, and delivers your Narrative Position Assessment. $9,500, paid at signing.

Why is discovery paid?
Because it's the work. The strategy is the product — not a proposal for one. A brief contains what the organization already believes about itself; discovery finds what the market has never been shown. That can't be bid out. It can only be done.

What happens after the assessment is delivered?
The decision is yours. Commission the strategic branded film with TeleStory Media, take the assessment internal, or sit with it. No obligation survives delivery.

Does the credit expire?
Yes. 50% of the Discovery Engagement fee credits toward a full engagement signed within 60 days of delivery. The window holds firm.
